Day
1
Morning departure from Arusha. Drive across the great Rift Valley to reach
the Lodge. Afternoon, descend approximately 2000ft by 4 wheel drive into
the Crater to spend the afternoon viewing game on the floor of the Crater.
Afternoon, return to the Lodge.

Day 2
After breakfast, leave for Lake Manyara National Park, where herds of
elephant and buffalo are seen. Lunch at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge. Late
afternoon, return to Arusha Town (B,L). |

Day
1
Your <<safari>> adventure begins as you drive across the Ardai
Plains and climb the Western Wall of the Rift Valley to reach Lake Manyara,
where you will lunch. In the afternoon, you proceed to Ngorongoro.
NGORONGORO LODGE (L,D).
Day 2
After breakfast, transfer to 4 wheel drive vehicle which will take you
2000 ft down to the crater floor and a picnic lunch. Spend the rest of the
day game viewing on the floor of the crater. Large concentrations of game
are to be found in addition to the rare birds in the Sanctuary. Return to
the Lodge in the late afternoon.
NGORONGORO LODGE (B,L,D).
Day 3
After breakfast, leave for Lake Manyara Lodge for lunch. In the afternoon,
drive down to the Manyara National Park for game viewing. The tropical
rain forest offers you a remarkable variety of wildlife.
LAKE MANYARA LODGE (B,L,D).
OR
Day 3
After breakfast, leave for Tarangire, arriving for Lunch. Afternoon game
drive through the Park. Tarangire National Park, which is home to a huge
variety of animals and bird species.
TARANGIRE LODGE / CAMP(B,L,D)
Day 4
After breakfast, a short game drive through the Park. Return to Arusha for
lunch. (A short stop-over at the Snake Park before arriving at Arusha
Town). |

Day
1
You will be picked up from your Hotel and travel to Tarangire National
Park.
TARANGIRE LODGE / CAMP
(D).
Day
2
The morning game drive through the Tarangire National Park, which is
1360sq kms. provides endless opportunities to observe its abundance of
wildlife including buffalo, elephant, lion and a vast number of antelopes.
After lunch, you go on to Ngorongoro Crater.
NGORONGORO LODGE (B,L,D).
Day
3
After breakfast, your safari continues to the Crater for a full day game
drive with picnic lunch. Late afternoon, return to the Lodge.

Day 4
After breakfast, your safari continues to Lake Manyara National Park. There are a large number of birds species, the
most profuse and lively being the flamingoes. The park is also home to a
wide variety of wildlife.
LAKE MANYARA LODGE (B,L,D)
Day 5
After breakfast, proceed to Arusha Town.
A short stopover at the Snake Park at the wish of the Client/s. Afternoon,
transfer to Namanga/Taveta Border or to Jro for your return flight (B). |

1
You will picked up from your Hotel and driven to Ngorongoro Crater,
arriving at your Lodge in the late afternoon.
NGORONGORO LODGE (L,D).
Day
2
Early breakfast and start your descend into the 270sq km crater for a
game drive. A chance to see the most spectacular game in your lifetimes.
Lunch at the Lodge. Afternoon, proceed to Serengeti Park.
SERENGETI LODGE (B,L,D).
Day 3
Early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the Lodge. Another
morning game drive in the famous park with chances to see all the
<<Big Five>>. Lunch at the Lodge. Afternoon game drive
extending into the late evening.
SERENGETI LODGE (B,L,D).
Day
4
After breakfast, depart for Manyara, arriving for lunch at the Lodge.
In the afternoon, game drive through the Lake Manyara National Park.

1
In the afternoon, you travel to the astonishing Ngorongoro Crater.
Arriving at your lodge in the late afternoon enjoying the breathtaking
views.
NGORONGORO LODGE (D).
Day 2
On the second day, your safari continues within the Crater. This most
spectacular of the African Game Reserves contains one of the largest
concentrations of wildlife.

3
After breakfast, you continue into the vast Serengeti sanctuary,
stopping at Olduvai Gorge, site of the discovery of the remains of
prehistoric man. The immensity of the Serengeti Park can best be expressed
in its numbers. It is recorded that over a million animals live in this
area, more than a third of them being wildebeest. This offers an enormous
food supply for the lion, cheetah, leopard – an animal usually difficult
to find in other Reserves.

Full day game drive through the Serengeti Park with all your meals.
Day
5
After breakfast, your exciting safari continues to Lake Manyara Park. This
Park is bounded on the east by the shores of the lake and northwest of the
Rift Valley. You can enjoy an outstanding vantage point. Afternoon
game viewing in the Lake Manyara Park.

After breakfast, your safari continues to Lake Manyara Park. The park is
bounded to the east by the shores of the lake and northwest of the Rift
Valley. You can enjoy an outstanding vantage point. Afternoon drive
through the Park searching for wildlife taking their afternoon siesta.
LAKE MANYARA LODGE (L,D).
Day
2
After breakfast, you proceed to the Serengeti Plain to visit Olduvai
Gorge, made famous by the Leaky family who began their paleontological
excavations here in 1931. Abundant fossil material dating back more that a
million years, including hominid remains of Zinjanthropes bossei, have
been discovered here. After a picnic lunch, you enter the short grass
plains of Serengeti National Park, punctuated by periodic rocky outcrops
(called kopjes). Wildlife viewing en route, you arrive at the Lodge in the
late afternoon.
SERENGETI LODGE (B,L,D).
Day
3
You have a full day of wildlife viewing in the Serengeti, the country’s
largest National Park with an area of 5,000sq. miles. The Serengeti is
world famous as the home of a million and a half wildebeest and zebra.
There are a multitude of the other plains animals (more than 35 species)
to see, as well as hippos wallowing, giraffes munching and black manned
lions flicking their tails at flies or chasing the vultures away from the
last few morsels of their prey.

After breakfast, your safari continues to the astonishing Ngorongoro
Crater, game viewing en route.
NGORONGORO LODGE (B,L,D).

After breakfast, you are transferred to four wheel drive vehicles which
will take you down to the crater for a full day of game viewing. The first
light of the day sends its golden shafts under the ethereal mist and fog
hovering on the rim, to spill in puddles of gold on the Crater floor far
below. The Crater is actually a huge caldera or <<collapsed >>
volcano, 12 miles across, providing a GARDEN-OF –EDEN like home for the
thousands of animals that live there.

After breakfast, your safari continues to one of the largest National
Parks to the south, its 1360sq. kms providing endless opportunities to
observe its abundance of wildlife. Discover the wildlife. Discover the
wildlife of this Park so like the famous Serengeti where rarely seen
Garenuk, browse on the thorn tree, Oryx, Greater and Lesser Kudu, Eland,
and the <<Big Five>> can be seen.

Return to Arusha after breakfast.

Kilimanjaro Trekking (Marangu Route) |

1
You are picked up from Arusha or from Kilimanjaro Airport and drive to
Marangu bypass Moshi Town. You pass through flower-studded meadows with
coffee and banana farms of the Wachagga, inhabitants of the lower slopes,
and finally you reach the hotel. There you will meet your local guides /
porters and make a final check-up on all your mountain equipment.
HOTEL CAPRICORN / KIBO HOTEL (D).

The route begins at the National Park – Marangu Gate at 6000ft. It is
5.5 miles (3 to 4 hours) walk
through rain forest, attractive in all its shades of green and accompanied
by the melody of an orchestra of colorful tropical and alpine birds. The
path leads you to Mandara Hut.
MANDARA
HUT – 2,743m

3
The second day’s journey is a short walk from the forest into the
moor-land to Horombo Hut, and is reached in some 5 or 6 miles trekking.
HOROMBO HUT – 3,720M

4
Mist and vegetation including cactus – like giant groundsel, gradually
disappear as you pass the last water and near the saddle, a sort of
high altitude desert with a lunar landscape between the peaks of
Mawenzi and Kibo. Kibo Hut is reached in 6 to 7 hours (10 miles).
KIBO
HUT – 4,700m
Day
5
About 1.00am you are awakened and begin the steep, most demanding, final
ascent through scree and snow to the top of Kibo. By about day break, you
should reach Gillman’s point on the Crater rim. Time, weather and
stamina permitting, you should comtinuefor about 45 min. of easier hiking
to the highest point <<UHURU PEAK>> - 5,895m (where there is a
superb view of scintillating ice walls set off by rugged rocks tot the
left, the central ash cone with its dome like <<glacier>> and
ice chams of the Crater floor). After a rapid descent to Kibo Hut for a
meal and rest, you continue down to Horombo Hut.
HOROMBO HUT.

It is a long walk from Horombo to Park Headquarters at Marangu Gate, where
you are awarded an official Climbing Certificate by Tanzanian Guides. You
continue down to your hotel for a well-earned hot bath, meals and
overnight.
CAPRICORN HOTEL / KIBO HOTEL (D).
Day
7
In the morning, you drive back to Arusha or to Kilimanjaro Airport for
your return flight.

ADDITIONAL NIGHT CAN BE ADDED AT HOROMBO HUT TO ACCLIMATIZE. THIS WILL
MAKE 8 DAYS TREKKING. MOUNTAIN EQUIPMENT IS NOT INCLUDED. (TENTS AND

You are met at the Airport and transferred to Machama.
MACHAMA / ASHIA HOTEL (D).

The route begins from the Park gate, walking through the forest up to the
first Uniport Hut – Machama Camp.
MACHAMA
CAMP – 3,000m
Day
3
Crossing the little valley and continuing along the steep ridge going onto
rock ridges oing onto rock ridges through heather until the end, then the
route turns west into a river gorge, reaching Shira Camp.
SHIRA
CAMP – 3,800m
Day
4
You continue walking towards east up to the junction, turn south to
glacier streams where Baranco Camp is situated.
BARANCO CAMP – 3,900m
Day
5
From here, you walk down to the junction where you again ascend up to the
Uniport Camp and then to Barafu Camp.
BARAFU CAMP – 4,600M
Day
6
Early start for the summit <<UHURU PEAK>> the highest point in
Africa at 5,894m. From here, you descend to Gillman’s point at 5,681m,
which is on the crater rim. Passing through Kibo Camp and walking down the
saddle passing the last point to Horombo.
HOROMBO HUT.
Day
7
The day spent descending through open moorlands and the glades of the
forest passing Mandara Camp and straight down through the rain forest to
the Marangu Gate.
HOTEL CAPRICORN / KIBO HOTEL (D).

8
After breakfast, return to Arusha and or to Kilimanjaro Airport for your
return flight. (B).
