Originating at the Londorossi Gate on Kilimanjaro's western flanks, the path navigates through lush rainforests teeming with wildlife. Look out for black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, small lizards, and a vibrant array of bird species. The journey continues onto the Shira Plateau, showcasing easy-to-trek terrain and breathtaking landscapes.

While the Lemosho route is often seen as one of Kilimanjaro's gentler trails due to its extended itinerary aiding acclimatization, trekkers face challenges like the Barranco Wall ascent and a steep summit night hike. Though no special climbing skills are needed, being physically fit is crucial.

Lemosho covers a trekking distance of 71km (43 miles).

Typically, the Lemosho Route demands a minimum of 7 trekking days. But, if you count arrival and departure, you'll need ten days. Yet, for a higher success rate, 8 or 9 days is optimal for trekking via the Lemosho Route.

Lemosho boasts impressive summit success rates thanks to its extended path. Though there are no official data, an average 8-day trek sees a 90% success rate, and the 7-day option has an 85% rate. Our statistics indicate a 95% success rate for the 8-day journey and 92% for the 7-day trek.

Famed for its unparalleled scenic beauty, Lemosho offers trekkers a journey from Kilimanjaro's western rainforests. Eventually, it converges with the Lemosho path to traverse the striking Shira Plateau. It provides breathtaking panoramas, especially along the southern circuit.

All the arrangements made with Simba were well organised and exactly as booked. Very professional company. Our tour guide and driver for the 6 nt safari was John Marko who was very knowledgeable, helpful and quick to spot animals.

We experienced a 7 day Safari with Hassan through Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire National Park. Everything was well organized. Hassan was waiting for us with hot coffee at the airport and drove us for the first game drive to Lake Manyara.
